Speill Berg - ‘Junk Folder’
(Album artwork above)
‘Junk Folder’ is a collection of songs recorded on my iphone & camera. They were made randomly during 2010 & 2011. First takes, no thought, no planning, no talent. Some songs feature an old battered guitar i rescued from the tip as it was being throw away by a stranger. As i saved the guitar i cut my hand on some glass and bled all over it. I left it out of tune, i preferred it that way.
To receive Speill Berg’s ‘Junk Folder’ please email > heinzjunkins@gmail.com > with a photo and/or written description of something you want to throw away. Something that is no longer any use to you. JUNK you want rid of. This could be absolutely anything! Physical or digital.
You’ll then be emailed the album and you will automatically join Speill Berg’s new ‘Junk Exchange’ club. You’ll be part of his ‘Chain Gang’.
Please recycle your junk. Thank you.

“£50 WHAT A BARGIN!”
Speill Berg: “I spent New Years Eve 2010 at my Mum’s house. The whole house was ill. There wasn’t much celebrating. The night was a write off for the lot of us. So for some reason i decided i’d start recording some random bits n bobs into my iphone’s auto-tune app. Once i started, i couldn’t stop. I’d quite often re-record the sound of the tracks coming back out the little speakers in my Mum’s work room. I did most of the quiet ‘songs’ in bed after Big Ben had struck. On New Years Day I was left with a large collection of these things i had puked up without any thought. I couldn’t really remember doing them at all. I came back to Bristol a few days later and posted up the download link on Twitter. I’ve since been told that some people downloaded a virus with the album. Ha! I’ll say enjoy this, but you really won’t”

“The moral. It is sometimes better to be content with your present life, lest a change should be for the worst”
I suspect this weekend will be the last time we see Louis Walsh on our TV screens. It’ll probably be the last time i ever watch X-Factor too (it’s way past it’s sell by date now). This is my tribute to the show that gave us all soo much and soo little. It also doubles up as a FUN CATCHY Christmas song.
R.I.P X-FACTOR.

REVIEW
The only one to mention Delifinger & Speill Berg was Clash which can be read HERE.
“Bolstered by the sea air and some home made scones (yeah, we’re that rock n roll), we sauntered back towards the musical action. Never has the soul been lifted by a venue as ones is when entering into the sunshine décor of the Erskine hall. High ceilinged, plastered with kids paintings and lots of (in relative terms) big comedy bums on tiny primary sized chairs. And if anything tells you about the egalitarian nature of proceeding it’s witnessing organiser and Fence patriarch King Creosote busy at work on the sound desk (at which the organisers all take their turn). Our first harmonic treats of the day came courtesy of a few of the Bristol Fence massive. Speill Berrg & Delifinger (one of the chaps from OLO Worms accompanied by his lovely wife) with an acoustic guitar, a Korg and a mate chipping in on the beats.”
“I’ve got ‘Bumcrack Pt1’ by Spiell Berg LODGED in my head. It’s the most annoying thing ever, I want to remove my brain and stamp on it.”
